We lived in Baltimore for two years. It was ok.
We always looked forward to spending time in The District. Wandering around Georgetown was a favorite, and although I’m glad we don’t live in MD anymore, I regret not taking S to see more of the Smithsonian.
The Inner Harbour is a must – at least one time. Its a tourist trap, but hey, sometimes that can be fun. Be sure to check out the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center. We also wandered around Fell’s Point, and made a point to visit the Baltimore Book Festival each September.
Of course, we also had a Zoo membership.
The Baltimore Art Museum was one of our favorite places to go, and although I didn’t write about it, The Walters Museum has a wonderful children’s program. The weekend craft workshops were a favorite.
Of course, we had to eat when we were there. Baltimore’s restaurant scene was in an interesting place, but unfortunately, I wasn’t posting regularly. Our favorite place to go mit dem Kind was Johnny’s. I miss their turkey burger with guacamole and onions more than I should admit.
