Lucia Weihnachtsmarkt in der Kulturbrauerei

Last week, we fell in love with Finland (or at the very least, Finland’s way with salmon and cardamom), and on Friday, we followed it up with a general Scandinavian affair at the Lucia Weihnachtsmarkt.

This market is much larger than the Finnisch one, yet still fairly small compared to most German Christmas markets.

Again, our focus was on food. We stopped at a Swedish stand for  Glögg, made with Preiselbeerenwein, and this time everyone who wanted an elk sausage got their very own.

No sharing means lots for Senf for me and this blurry photo for you.

We plan on going back to eat more elk  take a closer look at some of the craft stalls and explore Prenzlauerberg. There was an interesting looking Lapplandisch outerwear stall, but the woman working there bore a striking resemblance to Queen Elsa. S was already serenading the crowd with her rendition of “Let it Go,” so I thought it best not to escalate the situation.

The market runs until the 22. December and opens at 3pm on weekdays, 1pm on weekends. More info here.

    • We didn’t really make it to Finland – just the Finnisch cultural center in Berlin ;). I would love to go for real though.

      Thank you for reading!
