turkish market

It was so nice Tuesday and since S generously decided to take a nap in her stroller, I decided to walk down to Maybachufer for the Türkenmarkt.

The market is a collection of stalls lined up along the Landwehrkanal, a bit cramped, but not undoable with the stroller. At least, not until the tourists arrive next month. Then even a childless person can barely get through.

Some of the treasures I picked up: enough spices for the next six months, life-sized pita (why are the pitas at the supermarket so tiny?) and baklava. All for under 10EUR.

The Türkenmarkt runs twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Neukölln. Its easy to get to by either the U8 (Schönlieinstr), U7 (Kottbusser Tor) or bus 140.
